Susan Palmer is the Head of Chemistry at the Newham Collegiate Sixth Form centre (The NCS) in East Ham, London. The Chemistry Department won the RSC’s President’s award for 2018 for inspirational teaching. The 7 teacher strong chemistry department have an excellent working environment  of sharing best practice between teachers and also departments and also trying new things to improve student outcomes . Susan is in her 5th year of  teaching after leaving industry - and she hasn’t looked back!
