Astronomy is one of the most accessible sciences inviting questions around where does the Sun go at night to why don’t the Australians fall off? Tim Peake and his Principia mission blew away the cobwebs raising hundreds of questions about basic physics. John Baruch who pioneered delivering astronomy with robot telescopes will introduce our views of the Universe and how we got to this point with Chris Clayton’s Amazing Galactic Adventures a comic introduction to modern astronomy, and he will be asking which sports we will have on our lunar holidays which will be just the same on the Moon as they are on the Earth?

For me, STEM is the key to jobs in the new world of AI and robots that our students will be confronted with. It will be an open world with no set answers and no boundaries - rather like astronomy.
