Pamela leads and manages on education policy and pedagogy: leading on the open access Online Courses programme in partnership with FutureLearn and the Advanced Learning and Training programme within the Overseas and Cambridge based Advanced Courses. Previously, Pamela held leadership roles in the NHS, Higher Education and Secondary Schools: she was the Education Lead for the Public Health Genetics Unit, Cambridge, an Open University Project Director and Lecturer in the Education and Science Faculties, and a Deputy Head of Sixth Form, managing UCAS and Mentoring PGCE students alongside teaching A Level Biology and GCSE Science. Pamela has a PhD in Genetics Education and MPhil in Research Methods from the University of Cambridge, a Masters in Educational Leadership and Management from the Open University, and a Post Graduate Certificate of Science Education from the University of Oxford. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Member of the Biology Education Research Group and the Royal Society of Biology.
