A regular comment on what students found difficult in exams is that relating to contexts, students tweeting that they had not been taught about alpacas, dinosaurs, carrots or Madagascar. What observations can an Exam Board make and how might teachers address this in their teaching to equip students to demonstrate what they know in an unfamiliar context?
