The PALAVA teacher researcher group has been looking at the role of diagrams in learning for many years. in the course of our studies we have developed existing and created some new methods. These methods will be valuable for teachers to know, so we will share them in this session together with our evaluation of their effectiveness. The session is based on practical examples that teachers can use in their classrooms, or take up when studying for higher degrees. Many examples will be taken from environmental education.
