For the last 30+ years, the Physics Education Research community has developed a large range of books, research papers and resources designed to improve teaching and learning in physics. This session will provide an overview of the most useful and accessible ‘highlights’ that might change your physics teaching forever (perhaps).

I'll focus the session in some main areas

  • Concept inventories and assessment
  • Measuring ‘difficult things’ such as student attitudes
  • Different question types
  • Courses and curriculum development
  • Resource banks
