Timstar are offering a fun and exciting hands-on practical session using PCR and Gel electrophoresis techniques to obtain a DNA fingerprint. This demonstrates how easy this can be done within the science practical lesson from running samples through the machine to staining the gels after electrophoresis using methylene blue and then analysing the results.
