The University of Birmingham, together with Twycross Zoo and BIAZA, has developed an Enclosure Design Tool for non-human great apes to help develop enclosures that encourage the display of behaviours similar to their wild counterparts. This is a crucial element in the conservation of these endangered species for the future.
