Learn more about our suite of free, online Genomics and Bioinformatics Courses developed, presented, and sponsored by Wellcome Genome Campus Advanced Courses Scientific Conference in Partnership with FutureLearn - a world expert in online learning: typically 2 or 3 week, 3 to 5 hours a week short courses; open access, completed at the learner's own pace - during and after the live presentation by world experts, researchers, and clinicians; can be integrated into School/ Sixth Form College programmes; trialled by Sixth Formers - with positive feedback received; providing opportunities to learn about cutting edge research in genomics in the context of health and disease; with opportunities to explore ways that genomics is being used to improve our health; presented by world experts, researchers and clinicians; covering topics such as 'Antimicrobial Resistance' and 'How Genomics and Bioinformatics Can Be Used To Help To Prevent The Global Spread of Harmful Diseases'; learners from across the world learn together online, sharing their expertise and discuss their learning in the online 'Comments area', and share how they are/could use their learning in their own countries/ work places/ contexts; using online computational tools to probe publicly available genomic data; the course uses a mix of multimedia, with optional accredited assessment opportunities for learners; digital Certificate of Achievement awarded to those who satisfactorily complete the course and the assessment.
